    @310shadow310 A …
    @310shadow310 A couple suggestions that may help based on you seeing nicks in your blade after sharpening are to use light pressure, and if you’re using a cheap stone that the grit seems to be dislodging from during sharpening, that can potentially damage an edge. All new stones will smooth out some the first couple times you use it, but if you’re noticing larger pieces of abrasive come loose from the stone, you may need a higher quality stone, which will be harder and not have this problem.

    I recently bought a …
    I recently bought a sharpening stone with one side course and one side fine. I am practicing on all of my dull kitchen knives and so far I seem to be doing ok. I get them sharp enough to cut through oranges and and onions and stuff with no problem but I can’t seem to get them sharp enough to do that paper cutting test where it slices through with no problem. Also although they are pretty sharp they seem to have little nicks in the blade after sharpening. anyone have any tips on how to sharpen?

    @kamarulx that …
    @kamarulx that depends on the hardness of the steel, I usually
    do 30 times one side 30x other side and that 5 times, and that with every stone. Afther a time you will feel and hear it when its time to go to the next stone but it takes a lot of experions. and always start with a low enough grit.
    Good luck and thanks for watching my vid.
